The best answer about organics wins the points!?
there are many pesticides that are stored in your liver for your life.

I choose organic to avoid pesticides and support small local farmers. Also I belive if you buy locally i.e. farmers markets your food is fresher more full of vitamins and minerals and tastes better.

Organic farmers represent the fastest growing segment of american farmers. It is possible to have the american farm of a hundred years ago, and supply the food needs of your community.

I buy organics on thin skined vegetables and fruits that grow above ground. Ive allready covered the health and community aspects of my buying local organic produce. I als belive strongly that eating produce that is localy in season puts your body rhythem more in touch with the natural world around you.

I suppusoe to always strive to learn new things and be good to those around you are a few of my core values.

start small and see what appeals to you you will be lead in the right directions by the enlightened people around you, and as you begin to become more in tune people will begin seeking your advice. adios.
Reply:-Organic holds the promise of reducing pollution.

-They think it is the healthier choice.

-They know it will sell, and for a higher profit. Sometimes they believe in it personally.

-Not often. Growing without pesticides means that the fruits must be producing their own pesticides if they are surviving (by the law of natural selection). Obviously, those can't be washed off.

-Knowledge. Without it, man has nothing. Generally, knowledge lasts longer than most of the positive things in life, all the way to senility. (at which point you probably lack the capability to care)

When I had kids at home and I grew a garden I grew organic because my kids enjoyed grazing in the garden and I didn't want them eating pesticides.

Why do consumers choose organic?

Usually for environmental reasons. Organic does not pollute our ground water. But also because they don't have the worry of consuming pesticides.

Why do farmers farm organic?

Because of the demand and they make more money on organic produce. And some for environmental reasons.

Do you personnally buy organics?

No I don't, It's expensive.

If yes, why do you buy organic?

If I did it would be for the health benefit.

What things are important to you in your life?

My kids are at the top of my list.
Reply:Organic is not important to me at all. I think the prices are outrageous and totally unsupportable. Often, I frankly refuse to buy those products because they are seriously overpriced. I will not encourage greed, even if it's in the name of saving the environment.
