I'm researching consumer experiences with overdrafts. Have you recently been charged multiple overdraft fees for a relatively small overdraft amount? Did you have enough money on deposit that several of the checks could have cleared, yet the bank charged you an overdraft fee for every check that cleared on a single date? Please be specific about your situation and the bank at which it occurred.

yes! It happened about a month ago with Wells Fargo
Reply:A couble of years ago that happened to me with AmSouth Bank. They held deposit funds for my paycheck without warning. Every other bank I've dealt with either made the funds available or warned me at the time of the deposit that they wouldn't be available until a certain date. They have now been bought out by Regions.
Reply:Yes...bank disclose that to you when you open the account though that the largest amount will be posted first...thats how they make money
