Given the time of your question, we must have received the same offer to be a mystery shopper. I have tried to verify that this is a real offer. My gut tells me no, why is everything out of Canada, why are automotive companies issuing checks, and why are we receiving checks for such amounts. I have not called the NJ phone number yet so this is all I know at the moment.
Reply:I got the same letter with the same check for $3,975. I was unable to verify anything except the phone number. "Elizabeth Jackson" had a heavy east Indian accent and assured me that the business was legitimate and that the company would release the funds after the acceptance form was faxed back. However, the fax number wouldn't go through, even when I confirmed it with Ms. Jackson. It's got to be some kind of scam, but money laundering is the only thing I can think of. They're not asking for enough info on the acceptance form to make it worth their while sending out the mailing. I also spoke to my bank, who said that if I deposited the check they would watch it and not charge me if it's bad.
Reply:Hi, I just received a check for $3975. I called the company and ask them a lot of questions and of course they answered them. I also called the BBB in trenton NJ and they confirmed that it is fraudulent and even if you cash it, the bank will ask for the money back.
