Question: Discuss with economic reasons to support your arguments, whether the Singapore government currently adopts the most appropriate economic policies in the provision of education. [25] (2006 A level Q1)
I have researched things like Complusory Education (Regulation) and subsidies given to the prodcuers (local universities) and subsidies given to the consumers (subsidy rate of almost 100% for basic education).
What else are there? Please help! Any tips for evaluating these policies? Websites for reference?

pouring money is not enough, there has to be some quality control. With high schools, you can have standard tests, but for universities it is more tricky since there is more material. One test might be number of people entering US graduate schools after university.
