to research the ethics of a company before making purchases?

Do you believe consumers have a moral responsibility?
Simple answer

-NO-
Reply:I believe we do. We can effect more change in the world through purchasing power than any other means. If we avoid companies that shave a few dollars off the price of items by using child or slavelike labor, polluting the environment, or use other unfair competitive means we can make the world a better place. A dollar is a vote for these companies to continue in business.
Reply:I don't know if you would consider it a "moral" responsibility, but I do believe consumers have some responsibility to know who they are dealing with, particularly as the financial exposure of the consumer increases.
