Yahoo Mail Filters Not Working?

I have tried blocking spam from Laptop for you, Consumer Research, Money to shop and so on..... I've tried using the whole title, main word, checking and unchecking the case sensitive box and still nothing. I can get up to 200 emails in my bulk mail folder and I have that filter checked to send it all to the trash... Still nothing. Anyone have a way to stop this junk and to have the filter actually work???

The problem is not the filter. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. It seems you don't understand fully the purpose of the Bulk folder. This is the folder that yahoo sends 'suspicious' emails to. Yahoo has already determined that these mails are junk/crap/spam; otherwise they would all be going to the Inbox. Messages that go to Bulk folder should never be opened because just opening them could alert the spammers that you do in fact have an active email address (they wouldn't have known it before this), and will prompt them to send you great quantities of spam in the future. And there is no advantage in sending Bulk messages to the Trash folder. If you want to empty the Bulk folder, just click the 'Empty' link in the folder list and all messages will be erased immediately.
Reply:Can't just empty the bulk folder. Sometimes mail that should be going to my inbox ends up in the bulk.


The trash choice and filters worked for a bit and now all filters are not working. I'm getting that mail in my inbox once again. Report Abuse
