When will we have to curtail our consumption patterns?

With a growing world population, and growing levels of wealth, we are using more of the earths resources than ever.

In the UK many people get new mobile phones every year for example. The rate of technological change means the lifespan of consumer goods is getting lower, and increases in wealth mean we are less resourceful. Recent research suggest we throw away 1/3 of the food we buy.

My question is how long do we have before we really start to put a strain on the earths resources?

When will we have to curtail our consumption patterns?
the strain is there it's called the middle east or starving kids in africa people living at the dump in guatemala your question is how long is it going to take before you notice it well I don't know you don't sound foolish it's all related to gas we will use until we run out food why would we care we don't produce the majority of it but we consume more then are fair share oters will die for our glutany we won't need to change in our life time maybe your kids but not ours
Reply:We never will. The stone age didn't end 'cause we ran out of stones, know whatta mean?
