I work for a market research company who needs to get some quick opinions on naming options for a new product from 18-24 year old consumers. Is there a mall or campus, or lunch-time area where a lot of people from this age group will be during the day? Help is appreciated since I'm not from Sacramento!
Where in downtown Sacramento will there be a lot of 18-24 year olds during mid-day?
Open up the Yellow Pages under "School."
Reply:Downtown area, not so much. But in the howe/arden area, quite a few. That is near the State College and many young adults live, work and socialize in that area. Your best bet for the noon hour would be to hang out at the Starbucks on University and Howe or directly at the college in their lunch room or quad area. It is called Sac State University and they addy is 6000 J Street. I highly recommend parking downtown and taking public transportation onto the campus because parking is a nightmare. Or you can park at the Scottish Rite Temple which is across the street from the campus.
Reply:K street mall/plaza has a very diverse population especially during the lunch hours. It varies in age, gender, economic, race, religion, etc . It would give a good cross section for all 18-24 year olds. You would also break the research down to any segment.
Reply:18-24 you are probably looking at college people. You can always try Sacramento State.
Reply:If you work for a market research comp you really should have a bit of a clue. You must be new at this.
